Dark? For sure. Complex and ambitious? Absolutely. Major props to Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan—they deserve all the applause! I’m not usually into loud, gory flicks, but "The Dark Knight" hits different. It’s violent but has real depth. Heath Ledger’s Joker is so human, and Christian Bale’s mix of petulance and complexity makes his character super fascinating. What’s wild is that Batman isn’t even the main focus; Ledger totally steals the show and sets the epic vibe in Gotham.
