The Last Bus

(Film, 2021)

I never expected "The Last Bus" to be so touching. Spall’s performance is what makes this film so special. He brings such depth to the character, portraying the grief and determination that comes with honoring a loved one’s memory. It’s a quiet film, but it doesn’t need any big, dramatic moments to make an impact. The interactions Tom has with strangers along the way are simple, yet meaningful, offering moments of humor and heart. And even though the story leans into predictable territory at times, I was still deeply invested in Tom’s journey. Overall, The Last Bus is a heartfelt film about love, loss, and moving forward. It might not be groundbreaking, but it’s a touching story that leaves a lasting impression. If you’re into character-driven films with a lot of heart, I think you’ll really enjoy this on.
