I think that "The Instigators" really misses the mark in several areas. While it has its moments, the film feels underwhelming overall, especially since most of the best bits were spoiled in the trailer. It’s more humorous than genuinely funny, leaving a lot to be desired in terms of comedic impact.
Even though the cast has good chemistry, the screenplay is weak and lacks depth, making it hard to stay engaged. Affleck shines, but his performance isn’t enough to save the film from its scattered direction and lack of focus. Ultimately, while it may provide some light entertainment, it falls significantly short of expectations and doesn’t live up to the potential of a heist film. They can do better next time with another movie
