Anwar knows how to shoot and it shows, he creates a story and gives motivation to the characters but I don't understand why he started to insert so many jump scares in his films.
Impetigore is a great film but from then on it seems like he wants to merge his style with Wan's, maybe to sell more outside Indonesia? Ok but like this, for me, the quality drops a bit.
It certainly remains a better shot horror than the average of the American mainstream ones
